I-Tech AB operates in the marine paint industry. The Company develops substances which prevent hard marine biofouling on ship and boat hulls. These substances are called antifouling substances and are important components in bottom paint for ships and boats. The Company has patented the use of medetomidine as an antifouling agent.

The most central elements of the Company's activity are the securing of intellectual property, marketing towards licensees (marine paint companies and other marine corporations), authority registration and product development of the active substance.

I-Tech businessidea is to develop, manufacture and market antifouling substances and related technologies. By innovative research and development, the Company shall engineer the most efficient and environmentally conscious products and technologies on the market. In cooperation with the marine industry, I-Tech shall be the supplier of the most effective and most environmentally friendly antifouling solutions on the global market.

Mintage Scientific own 29%. Other principal owners are Volvo Technnology transfer (VTT), Innovationsbron, GU Holding, ALMI Invest Västsverige AB, Aquamarine Ltd. In addition a group of private persons with connections to I –Tech owns smaller shares
